Martial Arts Classes for Ages 10-13 in Indianapolis – Fusion
Fusion is a blend of the excitement of the Warrior Classes and the real deal self defense and conditioning of the Impact (Adult) Program. The program is lead with the knowledge that this age group has specific wants and needs that are unique to them. Though a lot has changed over the past several years, Mr. Brown himself began as a young teen. He knows more than most that teens want a good workout, to learn self defense, and want to do all the “cool” Martial Arts moves. More importantly, teens want to be treated with respect and given the opportunity to train like the Adults.

Our Fusion program is specifically designed for preteens and young teens, ages 10–13, who are ready to take their martial arts training to the next level. At this stage, students want more than just the basics—they’re looking for challenging classes that keep them engaged, teach real self-defense skills, and give them the chance to perform “cool” martial arts moves they’ve always wanted to try. At The Way Martial Arts in Indianapolis, Fusion delivers exactly that.
Fusion blends the high-energy excitement of our Warriors kids program with the advanced self-defense training and conditioning found in our Impact adult martial arts classes. This combination keeps students motivated while giving them the respect and responsibility they deserve. Classes are fun, challenging, and designed to help teens grow both physically and mentally.
In our teen martial arts program, students build real-world self-defense skills through striking, blocking, combinations, pad work, partner drills, and scenario-based training. They also improve their overall fitness with workouts that develop strength, speed, agility, and stamina. Every session keeps students moving, learning, and applying techniques in ways that make them feel confident and capable.
Just as important as the physical training is the personal development that happens in Fusion. We know that young teens face unique challenges—peer pressure, school stress, and the desire to be treated like young adults. Our instructors create an environment where respect goes both ways. Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles, help newer classmates, and set their own training goals.
Many parents notice significant changes in their child’s confidence, focus, and discipline after joining our teen martial arts program. Improved school performance, better social interactions, and a stronger sense of self-worth are common results. Students also form lasting friendships with peers who share their dedication and positive mindset.
If you’re looking for a martial arts school in Indianapolis that understands the needs of 10–13-year-olds, the Fusion program at The Way Martial Arts is the perfect choice. It’s more than just a class—it’s a safe, motivating space where teens can develop their skills, character, and confidence while having fun.
